Online Information Retrieval

Teachers and students at Gaborone International School enjoy the previlege of using the Library to search for information either for leasure or to meet their subject needs. The Library is only six months old and therefore may not have specific information for some users. Although information is provided in the form of books, magazines, newspapers and posters it may not meet everybody's needs. Like any other Library, its collection is expected to grow over time. Infact, the rate at which it has grown in the past six months proves that it is indeed going to be a model school library in the next year or two.
To curb the problem of inadequate information sources ALL users are directed to online databases in which they can retrieve information in the form of authentic scholarly journal articles, books, magazines, maps and photos.
One exciting database is MAS ULTRA : This is designed specifically for high school libraries. Check out our next post for details of how MAS ULTRA can help teachers and students.
To log onto the databases go to http://search.ebscohost.com.
The Librarian: Stella N. Madzikigwa will give you a User ID and Password.
This is a previlege for Gaborone Interanational School teachers and students only.
